The Foodbank of Southern California

The Foodbank of Southern California continues to be a major force in the fight against hunger in Los Angeles County, by providing basic sustenance and proper nutrition to the community's hungry residents and ensuring that no individual goes hungry, not even for a single day. The Foodbank of Southern California works daily to alleviate the damage persistent hunger inflicts on children, seniors, and families by reaching deep into neighborhoods with little access to healthy nutritious food, partnering with hundreds of non-profit agencies serving low-income people, and securing large food donations from local distributors, farms, retail establishments and more. We continue to be the largest distributor of food in the economically depressed areas of Watts, South Central Los Angeles, Compton and North Long Beach. (Less)
